The International Academy of Photonics and Laser Engineering (IAPLE) is a non-profit, non-governmental, non-political, non-religious, international academic institute, consisting of corporate members and elected Fellows from different countries with the highest academic/engineering achievements and reputation in the fields of photonic sciences and laser engineering. 

The AIM of the Academy is to promote the advancement of photonics and laser science/ engineering globally.  

The Objectives of IAPLE are 

1.To provide a forum for leading scientists and engineers in photonics and laser engineering to exchange ideas, research progresses and state of the art.

2.To identify key issues and challenges in photonic science and laser engineering that may have major impacts in society and economy.

3.To initiate international collaborations in key areas of photonics and laser engineering.

4.To forecast future R&D directions in photonic science and laser engineering.

5.To develop international level strategies and roadmaps for advancing the science, technology and applications of photonic sciences and laser engineering.

6.To identify and elect Fellows to the academy.

7.To interface with governmental funding and policy making bodies and industrial leaders to promote photonic science and laser engineering.
